Rick and Melissa are a wonderful couple and we would welcome them anytime. From the moment we started chatting via THS; WhatsApp and email we knew Rommel and Keisha were going to have some good friends to stay. We were sent photos throughout our time away and it was clear everyone was having fun. The house was spotless when we got back and the dogs were sort of pleased to see us, but I think they miss Rick and Melissa!! We’re so pleased that they explored the area whilst they were here and really hope we’re going to stay in touch. We highly recommend them as pet sitters – If we could give them 10 stars, we would. Simply brilliant. Pre-sit we spoke to confirm all dates, any special requirements etc so we knew everything would go according to plan. During the sit we got regular feedback and updates (pictures etc) of the sit and a great handover at the end. Animals loved Rick and Melissa, house was spotless and you can’t really ask for more.

We were thrilled to have Rick and Melissa back to house and animal sit for us a second time this year. They did such a good job both last and this time, we can’t recommend them highly enough. This summer, they coped efficiently with a donkey going lame and struck a perfect balance between keeping us well informed and not worrying us too much – which is not always easy! We came home to an immaculate house and some very happy cats, donkeys and hens. We love Rick and Melissa – they are perfect housesitters!
Should Rick and Melissa apply to house sit for you, snap them up quickly! Of all the many house sitters we’ve had over the years, this lovely couple were easily the most reliable, conscientious and trouble-free sitters we’ve had. They were super flexible and worked around our departure and arrival times – always a huge help when you’re traveling with kids. Communication with them was easy from the start: they asked what was needed, but didn’t burden us with unnecessary questions, they simply got on with things and sent us positive messages, so we knew things at home were fine. They immediately bonded with our dog and two naughty cats and you can tell they are real animal lovers. They weren’t phased by mucking out donkeys and chickens every day and they left the field shelter and chicken coop in a beautiful condition. We returned to a super clean and tidy house, fresh flowers throughout the house, fresh bread and milk for us in the fridge and some very happy animals. We would love them to house sit for us every time!
We were very lucky in having Rick and Melissa take up our request for house sitters. They are a delightful, fun couple capable of dealing with things outside the box. The star rating below says it all. We knew before we left that we had a reliable couple. They coped with bad weather which we could not predict and two escapologist donkeys, for which we are truly sorry, but they took it in their stride and we returned to very contented dogs and donks. We would welcome them both back should they wish to come this way again and have no hesitation in recommending them as your future house sitters.
